Meet Nea! At the age of 2, Nea’s mom took her for a check-up and told the pediatrician that it seemed like her words had diminished resulting with Nea being diagnosed with autism. Nea does a lot of stimming, something that children with autism will use for sensory input. She will put her arms up like an airplane and spin in a circle for self stimulation. Nea calls St. John’s “my hospital.” Her favorite things are Spiderman, Batman, the Hulk, hockey, ice skating, animals (especially wolves), and cars!
