Meet Sam! St. John’s saved him by mere minutes because his mom’s uterus was defected and she had a placental abruption. Born at 32 weeks, Sam had a 73 day stay in the NICU where he had a TEF/EA implanted that is designed to carry food from his mouth to his stomach. His family is continuing to learn more about the TEF/EA and doctors predict a bright future for Sam. His favorite things are his family, cuddling, and high fives.
