Meet Arayna! She was brought into the St. John’s Hospital in May 2019 with severe weight loss and went from 105 to 75 lbs, no iron and low albumin.  She had over 11 hospital stays in a six month time span.  She went on an TPN (total parenteral nutrition, which is essentially nutrition given through a needle that bypasses the GI system) and Ensure only diet in the last part of June to avoid an ostomy bag until the end of December when she ended up having surgery to remove 10 inches of her bowel that was completely closed up.  She also had 3 abscesses that required surgical removal as well. Arayna is now healthy, able to eat and back at dance.
