Meet Molly! She was born a month early due to a placental abruption and the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck. She spent 12 days in the NICU while doctors waited for her lungs to further develop. 2 days after she came home, Molly’s mom laid her down and left the room for a minute and when she came back, Molly wasn’t breathing. Molly’s dad performed CPR, taught to them while at the NICU, and her dad saved her life. Because of her little lungs, she wasn’t able to clear her throat like others and this caused her to stop breathing. Now a happy 4-year-old, Molly is healthy and loves to smile.
